What began with a bold purchase in 1976 grew into one of Pembrokeshire’s best-known country hotels.

Andrew Stirling bought the hotel in 1976 with an unusual first plan: to create a squash club with good food. Courts followed, the club flourished and the attached restaurant quickly earned its own reputation.

The business kept evolving. Bedrooms, function rooms, reception areas, restaurants, gardens and spa facilities were developed over the decades as the family responded to changing expectations.

Five decades of evolution

Fifty years on, the hotel’s story is still rooted in family, food and a willingness to adapt. The anniversary celebrates the team, loyal guests and the many milestones which shaped Wolfscastle.
