Mwnt draws visitors along narrow country lanes to a sheltered beach, ancient church and coastline shaped by centuries of history.
North of Cardigan, the road to Mwnt passes through farmland before opening onto a striking view of sea, cliffs and golden sand. The approach feels remote, and the sound of the bay below gives the place a calm, timeless character.
The Church of the Holy Cross stands above the beach. Its simple whitewashed form reflects a long tradition of worship on this exposed stretch of coast, where Welsh history, legend and landscape meet.
